ABOUT FAIR & EASY
Fair & Easy Co., Ltd. was founded in Bangkok/Thailand by Mr. Somsakul “Sam” Trepunyakul and Dr. Thomas E. Fernandez, a German national, in 2004. Today, the company employs 12 professionals in Bangkok and three at our branch office in Phnom Penh/Cambodia. Fair & Easy also has a rep office in Uetersen near Hamburg/Germany. The company provides logistics and consulting services.
As a Lead Logistics Provider (LLP or 4PL), Fair & Easy specialises in niche markets.
Fair & Easy’s slogan is “We are Fair to our customers and it is Easy to work with us”. We believe that the customer is at the center of our company, and we provide solutions for our customers’ logistics problems.
Fair & Easy is a 100% compliant company, which is also reflected in our customer structure.
Finance
Fair & Easy has been very successful since its founding. Dividends have not been paid out but re-invested into the company, so that the capital base steadily increased. Another major injection of funds by the shareholders took place when the Logistics department was opened in 2008, as logistics require high cash-flow. All expansions have been funded out of our cash-flow, and no bank loans have been taken out. The company is completely debt-free.
FOUNDERS
Sam – Mr. Somsakul Trepunyakul
Sam, who graduated from Western Sydney University with a Masters in Applied Finance, was in the Modern Trade retail industry in Thailand for over 10 years. He gained his experience by working for Thai and multinational companies in the industry up to senior management level, with control over budgets of several million Baht per month. Through his extensive contacts, we could win Carrefour and Tesco-Lotus in Thailand as our major customers for household items. Furthermore, we offer premium products to several companies. Sam is the Director of Finance and Administration.
Dr. Thomas E. Fernandez
Thomas graduated from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce with an MBA in International Business, and from the Open University in England with an MSc in Computing for Commerce and Industry. He has more than 25 years of experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry, which started with a commercial degree in freight forwarding from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. He has been in Thailand since 1990 with a brief 3-year interruption, during which he worked in Taiwan for a German multinational. Thomas speaks and reads Thai fluently and conducts business in German, English, Spanish and Thai. He is the Director for Logistics and Consulting.
